....will be on its way tomorrow to the agency with the second payment!! What a relief!!....Once the agency receives it, hopefully on Friday, or Monday, they will process and submit to the Ministry of Youth and Children's services.... I think that process may take 8 weeks or so for them to approve it. In the meantime I believe the agency will have the homestudy translated and once they receive the Ministry approval my file will be logged in at the agency and then it will be sent to Vietnam where it will also be registered. As I mentioned in a previous post, my sw has approved me for 4 minor correctible special needs. I found out that one of those special needs has a very short short list...not sure of the others, but my sw ranked them, so that is the one on top....so if it all works out, then we're hoping some good news will come our way within a year of submitting to Vietnam!!
Matteo was with me when we went to the sw's office and he was in such a good mood! It was so great that while I explained to him what we were doing there, of course he doesn't understand...but one day I can tell him that he participated in the process. He was very comfortable with the sw too, so that was nice to see!!
I think he was also excited that we are heading out on our road trip tomorrow and ever since I switched his car seat to forward facing (height wise it was becoming necessary) ...he has been so giddy in the car and loving that he can see me. For the past few months every time we had to go in the car he would start with his refrain..."mamma no car, no car mamma, mamma no car...mamma"...on and on until he was strapped in and I'm sure it was because he was all scrunched up with his feet as he is getting tall!...This will be our first road trip together...and I'll see how he manages for a longer trip/drive....
...For now, just feeling glad the homestudy update for Adoption #2 is signed and will be on its way. I had hoped we could meet an end of May deadline to get it to the agency, but some delays on both parts got us to early July. I guess on some level the other coincidence is that July 9 will mark the two year anniversary of getting Matteo's referral so the timing here again is interesting. A sibling is as much for Matteo as she/he is for me!!
...For now I have once again been thinking of Lucy. She has taken another negative turn with her health after having made some miraculous strides in healing....but she is not doing well and her family is getting conflicting reports. Again I cannot imagine what the parents are going through....They have asked for prayers and that is what I am sending!...
Very exciting times!
