Climbing to the top of the Vung Tau mountain.......(Photos Added)

On December 1st, our last day in Vung Tau, Matteo and I headed up to the mountain to climb to the Jesus statue...It was a challenge of a climb, over 300 steps (I think)....hot and beautiful. I carried Matteo all the way up (though people we encountered along the way, kept volunteering to carry him..). I felt that this pilgrimage was symbolically like the life we were embarking on. Life will sometimes be hard, but after the struggle or a challenge, the view, like this mountain, was spectacular.......as you can see Matteo fell asleep as we arrived almost to the top. I also promised Matteo that we would climb this mountain every-time we go back to Vung tau...and I hope there are many times we travel back to the place where our life as a family began....

New top teeth have broken through for Matteo..

We had a very difficult evening on Sunday night and yesterday discovered that one of Matteo's top teeth had broken through the gum....and then last night as well, a challenging and crying Matteo...tried orajel and it helped a bit but a tired and in pain little boy...this morning I could see the second tooth through the gum, so hopefully the most difficult part of the two top teeth coming in is over ....I knew he was definitely working on them as I believe I mentioned in a previous post that he was teething and the weekend before last he had a slight fever....so now, technically he has 4 teeth!!....lots of biting ahead!....

I'm adding a photo of Matteo in a shopping cart...first time, since he can now sit....and as you can see, a teether in his mouth....
